Heavy-duty equipment handles “delicate” situation

When Oldcastle Stone Products decided to purchase its first automatic bag palletizer in 1999, its choice of supplier was influenced by one main criterion. The equipment had to be sufficiently robust to quickly and efficiently palletize bags of decorative stones weighing as much as 50 lb, taking into account that if a bag broke, particles up to two inches in diameter might fall onto the conveyors.

The automated system illustrated below is an example of a complete line built with our crushed stones bagging and packaging solutions. This line is equipped with a volumetric feeder, an FFS bagger, a conventional palletizer, and a rotary arm stretch wrapper. Premier Tech also offers a semi-automatic packaging system equipped with a manual bagger (by volume or by weight), which can reach up to 18 BPM. If you sell your crushed stones bags by weight, you can opt for a net weigh scale, a form-fill-seal bagger, a palletizer, and a stretch wrapper, the combination of which can reach up to 22 BPM.
